hey all, I bought some Halo headlights off of ebay a while back cuz my stock ones were leaking and hazy, but now I gotta get it inspected, and I dunno if they'll pass or not. they say SAE on the lense, but not DOT, does anyone know?

They should pass.

You dont even need headlights to pass.

My brother just failed trying to get his Focus inspected with Halo's. They said the headlights had to say SAE and DOT on them. I dont know if they were BSing him or not, just wanted to throw this in.

most likely just depends on the state, i know nj is a bitch with inspection but sometimes the people doing the inspection just don't notice things like that, they never noticed my aftermarket mirrors had tint on them

In Virginia the headlamps and taillamps by law have to be DOT approved but I rarely look for those markings when I Inspect the car.I just make sure that their aimed right.
