I'm painting my valve cover to match my car. Paint is on and now I'm polishing out the letters. Here's a few shots so far. I'll clear coat it when I get done.

exactly, i used a dremel and it came out like shit

i need to paint mine and have read the how-to you d00ds post up but im just too lazy LOL i think all i have to do is replace the valve cover and the plug gaskets right? i used that 500 degree paint when i bought my headers and oh it burnt off with the quickness! they told me it would work but i knew better it was just a sweet ass blue color! next time 1200 or 2000 degree paint for me!

I used some PPG paint from the local paintshop. Its the 2 part mix as used in car paint shops. Half paint/half some high heat mix. I gave it about 5 coats b/c it was a little windy outside when I did it and i didnt want it to run. For polishing... I used the dremel. Its really easy as long as you have a steady hand. I make a freakin video for ya when I finish up the other letters. I'll buff the letters w/ some rubbing compound after I get the paint off to give it a mirror finish.










Its gonna look HOT w/ a polished intake manifold!






o yea.. i also painted my front marker lights to match my car. So much better than the black ones!!

damn dude that looks good, alot better, cool mod with the bumper lens' also, i left them out of my bomex kit, i may not even add my foglights to it, looks good without anything shoved into 1 of those 45 openings/holes in it LOL but hook us up with some pics when ya get them dude

did you polish the intake mani yourself...if so what all is needed and what steps did you take in doing the whole process? Looks amazing IMO!

Autozone carries some junk that's good for 1200 degrees. If you're lucky, they'll have the flame proof stuff, good for 1300-2000 degrees.



And that intake mani looks sweet. But yea, how'd you acquire that? Is it aftermarket?

no, its the stock intake manifold w/ a bit of polishing. Only used a dremel, sandpaper, and some 3M liquid polishing compound.
