...Your Bomex body kit! I just ordered a full Bomex kit and searched cardomain but didnt wanna click them all, so does anyone here have a kit I can see pictures of? And ok guys heres the deal, I have a 96 rs, I got the 95-96 front bumper and 95-99 sides and back, I have not very much install experience, should i attempt the install myself or take it somewhere? If I were on my computer I would post some pics up, is it a true bomex kit? If so, your not going to have to fab it up too much, but if not then def take it somewhere, mine required A LOT of work.

rucr8z2 ... dude your car is f'n CLEAN! the paint looks so good, that body kit definately goes great ... only other pics i can really find of the bomex kit are off cardomain, a lime green eclipse .. i dont think this kit looks good with that color, definately does for you ... and i think it's a knock off .. It came from importinnovations.com and was 510 shipped ... but i didnt have 1000 to spend you know ... anyone else got them pics?

Def take it someplace or do the leg work to go to body shops and ask questions. You may need some fiberglass practice if your kit is fiberglass. maybe pick up one of those cheap repair kits and try making a mold of a cup so you can see how the stuff works and get you familier with it. I have worked on my G/F Del Sol kit that was an ebay kit (Agressor knock off) and there was a lot of work to make it fit nice. nfortunately you get what you pay for sometimes.

Heres what mine looked like. Even if you have the true Bomex kit, I would still take it somewhere to have it put on. Are you gonna be the one painting it? If not, then just have somebody else do it. Ecspecially if your not familiar with taking off body parts and reinstalling.

I don't have pictures to post but I have the Bomex front and sides with a Combat rear bumper. The Bomex front was a sintch to install, just bolted on really and fits great. The sides are another story, going to need to be molded on which is going to require a lot of work with fiberglass. but once you get familiar with it fiberglass really isn't that bad, just a little messy (wear gloves;) ) To me I think the Bomex front is one of the tightest fronts around, but wasn't to keen on the rear bumper, just didn't fit my style. Thats why I went with the Combat rear, i like the way it sorta fits with my F1 fenders.

I didn't know if you left it out or not, but you also need the 95-99 reverse lights. And here's a pic of my friend Tait's 2.5L Talon. He also has the 2GA headlights on at this point.

Average price of installing and re-painting entire car black (yes I have one of those DSM's where the clear coat is flaking off) was about $3000. Keep in mind that this was average price for installing and repainting body kit as well as repainting the entire car. I am also in Northern VA, so everyhting here is way overpriced.

This is one of the main reasons I decied to install myself. It really wasn't that hard, biggest pain in the but so far is the side skirts (still don't have them on yet). But the main thing you will need if you attempt install yourself is time and patience. I'm trying to get as much done on the weekends and when I have time in between. Once the side skirts are on, then all I need to do is start laying some body filler and begin lots and lots of sanding. I'm taking 4 or 5 days leave in June to do the paint myself too. I figure when everyhting is said and done I will have saved myself about $2000 (and this was with having to buy the paint guns and all the supplies I needed). Hopefully I can put that towars my Stage II turbo ;).
