i've seen a few guys on here with painted center sections on there tail lights. i was just wondering if you bought it painted or did it yourself. or do you paint the stock tail light it self. or what. thanks

When my car was in the body shop I told them to paint the center and they did, no sanding no nothing, just painted it, it's almost been a year and it's still perfect.

my car is red so what color did you use fast420a, or what color did the shop use to match the car. if it was just from the stock they had to do your car then do you know what color would match the stock red color

They just used the stock red paint that was being used on the rest of the car.

I simply painted my centerpiece myself. I sanded it down as smooth as possible. I then applied a spray coat of primer, paint, and then clearcoat (in that order, letting each coat dry thouroughly). I did it all with pepboy's paint. It doesn't look perfect, but Its waay better than the stock red. You can see how it looks on my site.

You can get a body shop to paint it by wet sanding with 400 grit, then having the shop paint it your stock color. Mine is also painted.

I was all geared up to go to T&L that tuesday (I had the bumper loaded in my car, sitting in the lot while i had class), but then my classmates wanted to meet to work on our business group project @ 5pm (perfect timing :(, just my luck). There was no way I could get down there and back in time. Hopefully I can get there next week now that that is taken care of.
