I say clean it because it matches the interior already. It'd be different if you had the black interior, then I'd say recover it.

If you have the money I would get one of those fiberglass ones. I don't know what colors they come in but they seem to be really nice.

I'd either clean it or recover it. I just got a full grey interior and I don't like that light grey color and how it constrasts so badly with the darker grey of the interior itself. So I'm going to recover mine with a dark grey so it matches better.
That and if I were you I'd get some dynamat and cover the sheetmetal of your roof. You'll be glad you did :)

Well recovering it with darker material is an idea that i was thinking. It wouldnt show as much dirt.
As far as dynamat.......i hate dynamat, its outdates, prehistoric and weighs a ton. I prefer the spray deadeners because they go on so much nicer and coverage is better. Plus i have a sunroof so no deadening to do here...lol
Thanks for the opinions guys. Looks like i will see how clean i can get it and go from there.

fiberglass it! get a big piece of speaker grill cloth, spray glue it to headliner with 3M spray glue high bond. Then resin. Then scuff with 180, next use a light weight body filler mixed with resin and make creamy and spread around. The block sand 180 grit flat, fill any holes and DA with 220 grit, filler prime and paint. I should take no longer than 2 days to do this.

Cover it in a light grey suede.
