83009, Photo Shoot In Atlantic City
Posted by EclipseTenzoR, Mar-24-05 07:48 PM
Just got my rims the other day and as promised I would have some better pictures. The rims are on and I had my friend do a top notch detail job on my car. Truely amazing! New rims, fresh looking paint, nice and clean. Take a look for yourself I got some really nice high res pics from some various places in Atlantic City, including the top of Trump Taj Mahal's parking garage.

Holy sweet mother of God that looks badass!!! Very nice man!

Couple questions for you...first what detailing products and steps did he take to get it looking like that? Second where the FUCK are your 2gnt decals? With your car looking that sweet and clean you better be representing...Blizare this man wants to order some 2gnt decals!

Hit up Blizare and buy some decals man! Other then that...you have one hella clean and very sweet looking 2g.

What about my doors? Are you reffering to the line that goes through the center. That is some door guard or something. It came with my car when I bought it, I really dont like it and want to pull it off but I am afraid of what is underneath of it.

The Detail

My friend used a clay bar to bring up all the grimey shit stuck to the paint then stripped the wax off the car with some soap. Then the process began with some Meguiars #80 Polish to remove swirls and a sealent made by Sonus, then went over it with some Meguiars TechWax. He also used a PorterCable vairable speed buffer on this too. He is an animal with that thing and the paint looks so rich everytime he details my car. Gets rid of the oxidation on my side skirts brings the paint to a deep rich shine and the paint looks almost a cherry color at night its beautiful.

Why do you have side moldings half way up the door. Is that oem? I have never seen that before. Am I that sleepy or do you only have it on one side :wary ? Not to fond of that, otherwise it is nicely detailed.

Yea dude its stock. I think its an option though. I really dont care for it either, I would like to remove it but like I said before, I am scared of what is underneath if I remove it. And you must be sleepy, because it is on both sides.

I'm 99.9% sure that they are for "door dinger's."

The door dingers have been removed from the car, There was double sided adhesive foam tape holding it on the car. I was looking at it today and started to pull at it, I looked under the corner and saw the paint looked fine so I went ahead and started to rip it all off. Looks good with it off cleaned away most of the gunk. I will be taking my car to my friends tommorow so he can use a cutting pad on his porter cable and repolish and seal the sides of my car so all of it matches again. I'll post some pictures up and let you all know how it turns out. If I knew it would be this simple, I would have tore that shit off a long time ago.

Car looks really clean, and the red looks beautiful! I also take similar steps in cleaning my car, but use other products(check sig). All the car needs now is a drop!!!

Yea, dude tell me about it. I really need to drop my car considering how low profile these tires are. Hopefully the suspension and turbo wing go on and then I am done finally with the appearence of the car on the outside.

Off Topic Question- I leave for the Navy in October, boot camp is up until December, then from January to anywhere from 6 months to a year I will be in a tech school in Flordia. My question is, do you guys think I should still work on my car and put money into it? I can probably bring it with me to Flordia but I don't know what to do when I go overseas.

Ha, unfortunately it's a photoshop. Just a lower though. I hope to have it that way by summer with new paint and new interior. I'll keep you posted.

And I think you shouldn't take your car. I'd keep it garaged until you come back. The paint is mint.

now i'm really motivated to do mine!!! I wish it wasn't raining today...

Prepare for the same car in black with the same rims/look (sans door thingies)

I love evos---

I really want to do so much with my car but this whole going over seas eventualy is getting at me. Like when I come back home will I really keep my car or will I be getting something new. It sucks because I love working on my car regardless of how much it pisses me off. The joy of modding is making my car better than it was ever intended to be. I'll probably find out the situation about bringing my car with me to Flordia.

Keep it. But take your car off of insurance before you leave.

I'm thinking about just putting storage insurance on it, and garaging it while I am gone. Hopefully it can come with me when I am in Flordia.
