Just saw this in farmdog's FS thread.

how, on earth, did he do that? it looks awesome... unless they are just covers and my eyes are playing tricks on me.

edit: gads I just figured it out. he tinted his tails all red, masked off the part he wants to stay red, and used that black tint on the rest to make it look neat. hm.

thats exactly what he did, and they were on ebay last week, look on there again, i know they couldnt have sold cuz he wanted $150 for em.

for some reason I thought he made an all-new taillight. then I thought really hard about it, so hard my head hurt, and then I realized what he did when I saw the line where the stock taillight usually turns from amber to red.

I actually asked him how he did it about a year ago. If I can remember correctly, he used black vinyl also.

maybe. I might do this just because there are 10,000 talons in calgary and Talon > Eclipse anyway, so a taillight swap is out of the question.

Thats easy. He just did all his work on the inside of the lens. Look closely, you dont see any lines. Very nice work!!

As ugly as it is, at least it looks better than the Supra tail lights on one of the Eclipse's in my town. People are dumb and do stupid things to their cars!
