Here are some pictures of the gunmetal rims on my car. I only did two of them so far. What do you guys think? I wanted white but it would be really hard to get even.

Looks really good. Can't wait to get mine. Just do the fronts too. Your car looks a lot more blue in pics than in real life. Your can is so tight.

Thanks Ian, ya I think depending on the lighting it looks either blue or purple. I don't know if I would recommend you painting your rims though since you got real rims, and up close, you can see minor imperfections like where I did not spray perfectly smooth...

Yup you can see they are painted up close but from farther off and while driving they look bad ass! I like the look of the gun metal with the blue car!

help me understand how you guys can say that those rims are cool.
i guess its because i haven't seen them in real life. but the rims on the picture look really dirty and kinda ugly. and i just dont see anything special about them.

how much do they cost anyway?

I think it's just a different look. A lot of racers like gunmetal rims, while show people prefer white or polished silver. I admit it does look like a dirty color, but it makes people think your car looks fast hehe. BTW, I painted mine so it cost $20, but to powdercoat gunmetal is typically $200.

It's Duplicolor Gunmetal - I used one can for two wheels, but also used a can of black as a base coat. And also a can of clear coat over it.
