i really didnt know if i should have put this here or in the general forum, ok with that said, i cannot decide were to mount my new autometer taach, i was thinkin maybe on the drivers side pillar but then i wont have much room to play with cause of the a pillar gauge pod, can someone post pics of ther tach...so i can get a general idea of what its goin to look like????? thx in advance

its not mine as you can tell by the (paul walker green) but it gives you an idea of what it will look like.

well put. our stock tach is perfect. the only reason you would need a new one is if you need one with a higher rpm limit, because you can buy shift lights totally separate from big ugly 5.5" tachs nowadays. I say trade the tach for a shift light and put the light in the same spot, it'll help more then having this gigantic thing blocking your vision out the left front side of your windshield.

Added theft deterrent as well. Rice bags tend to steal from their own kind.

Well if you do install that tach, make sure you put one of those 1million candle power light bulbs in it, to make sure you and everyone for 3 miles knows when its time to shift....

Hopefully it'll blind the fuck out of you and you'll wreck...

I've never understood why people need shift lights. If you aren't familiar enough with your car that you need a light to tell you when to shift, you should trade it in for an automatic ford taurus or something.

I can tell by the song my engine sings exactly when its time to shift... you should be able to as well.

Yeah really. If you can't shift without a tard-light then you need to not be "racing" anyway. Of course, our 17 second cars go through the gears so fast you may want to look into one of those air shifter things cuz it's humanly impossible to shift correctly before you hit the WAAAAAAAAAAANANANANANANANANANANANANANANBABABABABABABA line.
