Well, here is an update on what has been done to the GSX. The pictures don't reflect everything, because the delay between me getting pictures and uploading them to the internet is outrageous!

These were taken by Taloniized.

What all has been done? New wheels, ADR Cypher 18x7.5 gunmetal w/ polished lip and 225/40 rubber. The suspension has been dropped another .75" all the way around, so the car is dropped just a hair more than 2" all around. The windows have also been retinted, 20% all around, and 35% on the front windshield. This does not show up in the pictures, because I have not been able to upload my new pics.

I say keep the hood and paint it to match your car, but do some sorta design on it so you can still see some CF, but make it blend with the car a little more.

EDIT: I saw a yellow evo8 the other day with a CF hood and CF trunk lid. He had it painted to look like CF racing strips down the center then black racing stripes on the roof and bumpers. It looked really good.

Looks real good man. I would keep the CF hood. If you really don't like it then paint it. I kind of like ^^ idea to paint some of it, leaving the exposed CF making a deisgn but I'm not sure that would look too good on an otherwise very clean car. Either way, sell it or keep it, your car looks and will look great.

I likes it. I also liked it better with the stock hood. :)

Yes the fenders were rolled, and then my old tires still rubbed, so I actually cut out the fender lip. Now these rims don't rub AT ALL.

Turbo8u, I got rid of the rims because I could not get the tires to stop rubbing. This way, I have a lower drop, sexy ass gunmetal w/ lip rims, and no rubbing whatsoever.

In the backseat I have my old gsx rims and tires. I gave them to Dr1665 to use at the track. Right now, they are just taking up space on my garage floor. :) hint hint (I'm home every night Dr1665) hehe

Uber, yeah, I let Paul drive, but only around the parking lot. I wanted to see what they looked like rolling on the car. So he never got to go over 10mph anyways. Maybe I'll let him drive sometime. But I don't think he will be too impressed. I think his car might be faster. :shrug We'll have to figure that out some other day.

Very nice and clean man, keep the hood but paint it leaving some of the cf exposed.
IMO cf hoods look good when they contrast the car color ie:white or red car. just MO though.

The hood has a riveted latch, and I'm honestly not worried about it flying up. It is sturdy as hell, and has already been taken over 100mph a couple times with no problem.

On top of that, I've been contemplating selling the hood, so I didn't want to drill any holes in it.

Springs are Apex'i World Sport Damper Coilovers lowered to just a hair more than 2" drop.
