What do you guys think of white rims on a white car? I have a white eclipse and I was wondering what your oppinions were.

I am just giving you fair warning. White Wheels are a B-Atch to keep clean. I have powdercoated white wheels on my R1 Motorcycle and they get dirty fast and if you don't keep them clean they will stain. Altough, white wheels may look good on some applications, they are hard to keep clean.

IMO, it would just be too much.

The white on white was a classic look for the Talons.

I think every year they were offered, there was a white wheel (or hubcap) option for the white cars. You could pull it off, and it would look nice, however you have to really be up for the detail work on those wheels or they will look dingy and detract from the overall appearance of your ride.

that Talon looks clean as hell.. but i do agree with extreme... they r a bitch to keep clean and they stain really easily. i think it also depends on the wheels to determine the overall look of the car

i have white wheels and i have nothing but compliments. sure they have to be clean alot but it's worth it in my opinion but i wash my car every week anyways.

I love white eclipses but white on white is too much for me.

white on white is damn nice. I love it, but you should definitely get some black on the car somewhere to break it up. CF hood and trunk with smoked tails and white everything else (except an all-black interior) would be damn nice

white wheels on a white car is the only way to go, it looks tight everytime I've seen it. "too much" only applies to cars other than all white or all black

Im sorry you guys all feel that way about white on white... i have a white eclipse with chrome 16's... this summer im getting some white 17" rims(undecided on which ones) with low profile tires and i think its gonna look smokin. But then again, im one of those people that doesnt really give a shit what other people think about my car. My girlfriend said carbon fiber hoods look stupid but im getting one of those too... LOL

As long as you keep those babys clean I would go for it. I spent 2.5 hours hand polishing my wheels the other day. I drove for 1 day in the snow with them on. That completely destroyed them. Now they are shiny again tho :)

white on white usually looks really good if you keep the rims clean IMO

Ya, I really like white on white imo in most cases, but I also do like those black rims with a polished lip on white cars, I think both looks hella tight just depends how often you clean the brake dust off your rims I guess.

The only way I think white on white looks good is with a polished lip, as one of the pics above shows. An all white rim just doesnt give enough contrast.

yeah It took me about 1 month to find the right pair of rims for my baby. I still havent found a pair that looks better. maybe some bonze ones???

I had a white car with silver rims then i put on white ones with a chrome lip...look 10x's better! I'd go for it

i feel in love with white on white when i saw niclipses car. i personally like it, although im not a big fan of painted rims/wheels. search around, or contact him..maybe he has some shots. one of his sigs was his car sitting in a parking lot...looked really nice imo
