Well, I spent $140 on some 5% tint today. I couldn't be more pleased! The shop did a great job. I got the front windows, the little triangles, and the hatch done. I'm gonna try to get some pictures up tomorrow. Dang, I'm tooo happy!

Yea, tint can deffintley make your car look alot better, but this thread is worthless until you get us some pics ;)

i hate 5%..i had it on my old cavalier. You can't see shit at night and cops hate it. I found 20% is a good happy medium between you and the cops.

I give you a month till you have to peel it off.

it does depend largely on where you live...but i'm tellin you right now cops hate that shit cuz they can't see in. And you can't deny me the fact that it blows ass driving at night...i have issues with 20% sometimes.....5% was hell

Maybe. =) I dont have to use the dimmer option on the rear view mirror now. I just cant roll my windows down for 2-3 more days. =/

I did 5% myself it looks good and I did it cheap...But it sucks at night and yes cops hate it...All in All, after a month of 5%, im peelin it off this weekend to start all over again...With 20%

heh...my friends brother had 2.5% on his mirage...he also had about $15k in stereo equipment to hide...it could be sunny as hell out and you still had to roll down the windows to see at times.

my cousin has 5% on his eclipse, and it's impossible to see out at night...he has to drive with his windows down no matter what temp. it is outside :/

Maybe not. I lost the camera > usb cable so it might take more time. I washed the car in 50* weather just for the pictures and now no cable. It looks badass though. I'm proud.

Joel, your car inspired me to get the tint done. lol I knew 3% would be a little over kill since I drive alot at nite. 5% isn't as bad as most of you make it out to be. I've actually found the usb cable now, the bama game is over, so I'm probably gonna post up some pics sometime today.

Will (hydrata) saw it yesterday, I think he was impressed. =P

I have 10% all around and 35% on my windshield. I have sat next to a cop several times at a red light without any problems. Then again I live in Arizona and it's sunny as hell over here. I can still see at night with 10%.

yeah ill NEVER put limo tint (5%) on any car i own again.

alot of limo's actually use 2.5%...jus a lil fyi

I have limo tint on my sunroof. No light comes through it at all.

I should limo tint my moonroof window...

I remember having 20% on my old car...that was dark enough as is. I can only imagine what driving with 5 would be like...
