78892, Application for membership in the CBCC Posted by thedawg, Nov-21-04 12:35 PM
Finally got my TSi painted.
She was previously owned by a ricer at my work... he put on fiberglass skirts, hit 2 poles, tons of door dings, spraypainted dash, HUGE aluminum wing screwed into the trunk, interior pieces unscrewed and drilled for crustom sound system, and then someone keyed the shit out of it. I mean there were probably 200 feet of key marks raked into the thing. Finally I put a note on his windshield saying I'd buy it. Apparently it had engine problems by that time too, so I got it. The thing was pathetic.
I spent about 40 hours fixing it, and over $1500 in parts, paint, & bodywork putting it back to stock. Anyways, the moral of the story is: Please think before you rice out a DSM.

PS: The car is now for sale, 95 TSi FWD ATX, $4500.

That's beautiful, sir. And what's this about "next owner?" Will this beauty be up for sale one day? I have a brother who's getting a nice little settlement check here in the next couple months and he's liking driving a DSM....
