well i know its been done before . but i did these my self. they are not 100% done as u can see but they are almost done. its not the stupid bolt on supra rear either . i spent alot of time fiberglassing and molding making my own custom rear.. what do u all think?

it would look even better with a GT-R spoiler or something other than the stock 3-piece. nice work :)

it doesnt matter if everyone has done supra tails, everyone still rocks the blitz kit and it still looks bad ass. very nice imo

It doesnt look like you can go that much farther out. I think it looks good. Ive been wanting to do it. Ive been doing some research on how I want to do this. If you have any pointers, hit me up. Id really appreciate it.

well thanks all. i put many days of work into doing it and it has finally started to look ok. but supra tail can be found on ebay. i got mine locally from some kid who had them . but ya i cant fill it out all the way to the outer trunk lid but it look ok how it is. i will get better pics when i use a good camera not a cheap CVS disposable. still needs some filling but not much. basically i just took out factory ones and positioned supra ones exactly where i want them and then took that styrafoam they sell in craft stores and filled in all around my lights to make a base mold . then i used many layers of fiber glass and some bondo and more fiberglass on top so it wont crack at all and that left it how it is now.. they still arent done but i havent had time to finish yet. but ya its ok. i dont like the supra bolt on rear for our cars it dont look as nice as factory rear i think..

That's some good ass work.

Looks pretty clean actually, one of the better supra light installs I've seen on a 2g Eclipse. Much respect for doing it yourself. Looks nice man.

i've said it once and i'll say it again, supra tails do not look good on our cars, sorry they look ugly to me, but i will give you props on a clean install, and doing it yourself. our tails look good stock as it is.

I dunno... the lines are still there. might look better painted. the blue Talon with Supra tails in Calgary is mad pimpin but he also has a custom spoiler and whatnot, a little ducktail one, if I remember right.

so what wing do u all think i should get? i want the high talon wrap around wing but i dunno. i doubt the GST wing would look right now with them lights but i dont want my stock one or some dumb aluminum one either.

why dont you look into a supra spoiler...

I know they probably dont make the "supra" spoiler for our cars however you can definitely find something similar..

I wish i had a supra, but i would never do that to my car.. for some reason something just doesnt look right to me. I think a different spoiler will help a lot though. Your work is AWSOME though man, dont get me wrong. It looks bad ass, its just not my "flava" :)

you could get that one Supra spoiler that Top Secret put on their widebody gold top speed car... I think it would suit that back end. It'd probably work from most of the other angles too, it'd be pretty badass in my opinion :) Talon wing might work too.

here is some advise from a fellow eclipse with supra tail lights owner:
make sure anywhere is the back where you cut or where the taillights left a whole that you make sure you fill in so dirt doesnt get in. i did mine a little different so i dont know how yours is done. but better safe than sorry.

and if you want a wing that will go with the tail lights the turbo spoiler looks good and if you want that supra look go with the wings west viper wing. it looks like a smaller supra wing.

i kinda like it, to tell you the truth, our cars look kinda like a supra, that's why i don't see it that bad. good job looks nice, as for wings, either wingless, turbo wing, or supra wing.

Well the title of the post says "what do u all think of my custom tails??" and if someone says "supra tail lights belong on a supra only" that is what they are think of his custom tails. So here is what i think. I think at looking at those small pics you did a nice job looks clean and i will give you props for doing it yourself. But on the other hand i personally don't like the supra tail lights or anyother tail lights on the eclipse besides the stock tail lights. anything else just makes the eclipse ass look even bigger. Keep up the good work.
