77940, Help removing scrape on body

I have a scrape on my car from contacting a hard pole. It's about an inch wide at its widest point (see link below). I put 3 light coats of touchup on it, and compounded it, but it doesn't blend in well and the surface is not smooth.

How do I go about fixing this myself? What specific tools and techniques, like wetsanding, should be used to achieve a smooth surface of the same color? Or must this problem be fixed at a body shop?

I dont think that the scratch looks too bad. I'd try wet sanding with like 600 grit then 1000. Get car polish and see if you can shine it up after sanding it. then wax it. the worst case scenerio is you'll have to re touch it up or take it to a body shop.

seems like ur touch up paint is not matching. can you get a closer pic? i would not start with 600 grit sand paper. start with 1000, finish with 2000. then polish. if you re in NYC, i can help you out.

It doesn't match perfectly, and I got it from the dealership. That's what's making it show up mostly, it's a bit darker than the existing paint. I'm gonna try carefully wet sanding with 1000 then 2000, maybe try a different color touchup.
