does anyone out there have like a step by step side skirt install with pics and crap like that, i know this sounds quite BANME!, but all i know how to do is motor work, and i dont know how to mold or even put those bitches on, pics would def help, oh yeah by the way if u scratch a carbon fiber hood can a paint shop just sand it out and shoot it with another clear coat or what?

they are all just bolts and screws... easy as 123

maybe its cuz i bought em used and i think the molded em into the door, i think thats where its not sliding in, but my real question is how you mold the shit on, i dont want lines everywhere, fiberglass, bondo, or what? and how exactly do u go about it?

dood...go get a book on fiberglassing and actually learn about it. Its gonna take a long time to mold em in and alot of work. Many hours of sanding are ahead of you.
Also, remember that if you hit a skirt on a bump and its molded in...its not jus a chip on the skirt...if it bumps up any lil bit then you are gonna have a big huge crack in the paint the whole length of the skirt. That's not a job for touch up paint...and a good chunk of change, and time, will be spent fixing and painting it. Jus a lil heads up and something to think about.

so whats the best idea? just bolt em on? i mean all i want is some suggestions, cuz bolted on doesnt really look too bad, and ive head about the whole nonstop crack shit, so how many people think i should just bolt em in and leave it that way? cuz i dont really wanna go through all the fixing and repainting bull

Just bolt them on. Done this a few times and i think it looks good

The best way to mold your sides on is to ruff up the metal real good with a grinder, then apply sub floor adhesive to that area where the sideskirt goes, and then stick the side skirt on and screw the side skirt onto the car.

Now ruff up the edges where you plan on molding it either the grinder but not as ruff as the spot you did for the sideskirt area and get you some of that duraglass and apply that around all the seems then sand smooth. Doesn't have to be super smooth, but smooth enough and try to keep in mind the flow from the fender to the skirt. Try to make that a nice gradual transitional slope.

Then apply bondo to make it completely flush and smooth.

Don't worry about priming it because the shop that you take it too for paint will only have to redo the priming part. So it would be a waste of your time and theirs if you primed it. That is what the shop I go too told me, so you might want to call and find out first.

If they want you to prime it, go get some primer and tape off the surrounding areas so you don't get any overspray on your car. Prime the sections that need primed and sand it smooth.

Takes time and patience.
