I am trying to wire up my door lock intereface for my alarm. I need to know if we have a positve or negative output. And how many wires.

Door locks are negative pulse and the two wires are easily accessed behind the glove box area. The link below says to tap into them elsewhere but I thought they were very easy to find in a harness behind the glovebox on my 98 RS.

Should be
Brown/white stripe = Lock
Brown = Unlock

the12volt.com has tons of info on vehicle wiring.

if you already have power locks then i would say to pull off your door skin and check teh harness for the "controller". I believe the wires are teh same color right at teh harness.

ok so is it a negative 3 wire system or 4,5 wire system. I believe 3 but want to be sure. I had to make a harness cause it doesn't come with it for some f-n reason. Thanxs so far. However for some reason I have a talon and the door lock wires are listed as a different color then brown. Mine are red/blue for lock and brown/red for unlock. Wierd. Course if u look in 3 different places u get 3 different colors for each.
