why does the tach only go to 8000 rpms??? i dont really mind, but i wish it matched the factory tach. is apc aware of this?

Because they only make them for the automatic NT. if you want a perfect set for the 5spd NT, you've gotta get the tach from a 5spd turbo, and the NT speedo.

Basically, it DOES match the factory tach, but the numbers are off. The redline is in the same place, it just reads a different number on the APC gauges..

actually the numbers are off. Where 7000 is on the tach is closer to 6000 and the 7200 fuel cut is at 6300 but the "redline" on the gauge is 6500. You will get used to the new gauge after a while, plus you can figure out where to shift by the sound of the engine.
