7623, window goop remover? Posted by Chamuko, Sep-19-01 12:41 PM
ok heres the story. After I got pulled over and etc. The cop was nice enough to add tint to the ticket. So after getting it inspected and having to take the stuff off I left it with my dad and borrowed his car for the day. Problem is he didnt use a heat gun or razor adn thought it was easy....when i got home i realised he just janked the sh%^ off. Now I have left over glue all over my windows.. and cant get it off.... a razor takes too long...windex isnt heklping and im dont know what to do..?

Or try acetone (nail polish remover). Or auto stores sell a product called something like "Strip Clean" and its a professional grade gunk remover. Seriously though, using a razor blade with soapy water is really easy to gett of the residue...

i'm removing mine from my GSX today and tommorow(cause it's faded purple and bubbley). but i just pull it off. spray it with windex and scrape it with a razor while it's wet. comes off pretty easy-like.

At my dealership when we would take tints off we just used a razor blade and window cleaner to get most off. After that it was adhesive remover and razor.

Straight Ammonia and a razor blade. Smells bad, works good, and won't hurt your interior! ;)
