76167, Where's the flasher? Posted by 97gsx, Aug-23-04 06:18 AM
Turn signals stopped working, I figured it was the flasher, but I can't find it in the dash. Checked a manual and all it says is that its located in the dash. HELP!

Open your glove box and it's bolted behind the metal frame on the left. It's a little easier to reach it from the side access panel, but you gotta unbolt it in the glove box. Ricer Tip: Change the capacitor on the relay to make blinkers blink fast. Alvin

Not to state the obvious but did you check the fuse? Edit: the bulbs are ok also right?

yeah fuse was the first thing i know its not the bulbs and i took apart the actual signal thing on the steering wheel and nothing is broke and everything seems to be working normal.

i had problems with my turn signals and it turned out to be the headlight bulb connectors were burnt. the flasher relay unit is located behind the HVAC controls, another way to access this is taking out your radio/cd player and reach in from there. its held on by one bolt, its hard to see so u have to feel for it.
