I don't know if I would have taken the time to take the pictures if I knew that it would be this simple, but I did it anyways. I mostly decided to do it since that other site about the 2g overlays never loaded for me. I'm not quite sure where to post things like this, so I guess I'll toss it in here and hope that a mod adds it to the mods section or something.

Good job. As far as the tach being 9000rpm, it's for manual transmissions. 8000rpm tachs are available.
