Ok, need help in cleaning my car. Damn, black sucks, its so hard to maintain. Anyways, here goes. All over my car, I have been having some sort of sticky stuff on it. Looks transparent, like a drop of water, but is actually sticky, like bubble gum or rubber.. My guess is its the sap from trees around here in my apartment complex. I have no idea how to remove it and I already brought it to a hand car wash and its still there. I was able to remove the sap from the windshield with the help of a blade, but I don't think that's the appropriate action also for the body since I might scratch the paint. Hoping u guys have input on this.

Yeah, that is pollen or tree sap. I get it too. I say buy a car cover or a shed to keep your car under to keep it away from trees. It's worth it. Saves a lot of trouble. Anyhow, your question. They have a cleaner at Wal-mart or any dept. store called OOPS. It works really good. I use that. I have used goo gone b4, but I like OOPS better. Also, the bug and tar/sap remover someone mentioned should work. I just prefer the oops. It is a clear coat safe liquid. I had tar on my rear fender yesterday. Put some oops on a towel and wiped it right off in a second. It's good stuff.

...and if your a cheapaZZ like me...u can just use Windex and a paper towel, with a lil' bit of patience. :)

what about the black crap that kinda oozes out of the door onto the panel that you see only when the door is open. its hot than a mutha in vegas, and that stuff(i guess its in the door) melts and drips in large quantities all over the that spot, and when im wearing shorts, it pulls my leghair off when i get in and out, its really a bitch. what stuff would i get to remove that, can i take off the door panel and hack out all that crap w/a razor??

i dunno, everyone talking about gettin rid of that see through stuff, what if it was black?????? i bet you would wanna get rid of it even more!

I took mine back to the dealer for the black tar shit in the door sills.

never had a problem with black stuff. i live in PA it doesn't get all to hot here. humidity will hurt some days but it's not desert heat every day

Here we go again, for the millionth time...GOO GONE or OOPS works best. if you're really ghetto, lighter fluid works, too, just make sure to clean it all off REALLY well.

I agrees with eclipsegirl goo gone is the stuff that the prof. detial places use... And it isn't that expensive......
