Hey man I have the same prob, except mine only rattles when the window is completely down! How do you fix that. I hear that you can't, a buddy of mine has a TRD solara and his windows do the same thing when down(and he paid 32k). I should state that the only time it rattles is when you 'slam' the door while the windows are down.

it's normal amongst our cars, but don't just accept that. there was a place on dsm.org that had an article about how to get rid of it. i still have it, haven't done what the article said yet. BUT, there IS a way to do it. search for the article at dsm.org.

naw guys. don't let it slide.Fix it now, I was just going to post about my problem which I hope somebody could help, and it seems to be occurring with some of you people. My door always rattled when I closed the door with the windows down, but the other day I rolled the window up and it joggled up a bit and then closed with a huge gap between the side and the window. My whole piece of glass is loose and out of align. I'm gonna have to take off that side panel and have a look, anybody have some advice before I take it off.

Am I being ignored..? All you have to do is take off the door panel.. roll the window all the way up.. and bend the L shaped prongs inwards so it keeps the windows tight. It's the ones with the felt on the ends of them.

naw bro, nobody on this whole board goes unheard...hehe well anyways, I fixed it. Mine wasn't just a rattle, it used to be when I closed the door but then it just totally came off line and left a huge 1-2 inch gap between the door and window, well I took the panel off my passenger door, just for those who might have to do this sometime or wouldn't help checking:
1. 4 blk screws-two on each side
2. 1 small screw under tab inside handle
3. 1 small screw behind door latch
the piece with the door latch might hold onto the door but it comes off easily with some manuevering. The switches for the window and door locks hold onto to rest of the door and need to be unscrewed, my problem was the track on the passenger side(looking at passenger door from driver seat, far right) door has a bolt that runs up and down and keeps the window aligned had come unbolted with the window. I bolted it and put everything together. well not only did I fix my window alignment, the rattle is gone, it makes me wonder how long that bolt was loose.
There is no rattle at all, when I close the door w/ the window up or down. well I hope my experience can help someone else.

ps: mitsubishi couldn't find any other way but to use tar to keep a piece of plastic stuck to frame of the door. some dam good engineers!!!!
