75111, Should I fix it and upgrade it OR just sell it? ( 56k... prob not ) Posted by 99GSBBTurbo, Jul-20-04 08:10 AM
I have two front lips right now... one thats in the pics below... and one thats in perfect BRAND NEW condition. Well I have this one that's been sitting in my garage for like a year and Im debating weither or not to fix it, but while doing that making it crazy looking... I dunno like add some different curves to it or vents or something, ya know? OR Should I just sell it... What would you guys do...

I mean as you can see its all in one piece, and it's not THAT bad... VERY fixable.... the front scrapes and that little rip is all that's wrong with it.....
BUT if I do sell it what do you all think I can get for it? They sell for 150 brand new plus 50 shipping... so $200 shipped....

yeah it looks fine to me, but i dont know how you would make it look crazy, unless you molded it to the front bumper. eclipseracer tried to make a custom one and it just ended up looking goofy
you could probably sell it on dsmtrader for as much as you bought it for

you could fix it yourself......that part that looks like this ^ happened to mine....i mean EXACTLY, i thought that was my lip at first....haha j/k....but yeah, all you do is take a heat gun and heat the underside up...then take a C clamp and clamp it so its straight...and presto looks good as new.....and no the plastic doesnt melt, but if you do it from the top you'll make your paint bubble....

if you want to see what happens when it really breaks, let me know. i did a write up on how to fix it with fiberglass, bondo, primer, and paint. once i was done, looked just like before, but with more of glossy finish. i ever went as far as taking off 3/4 inch off of it simply b/c of how low i was. so yeah, fix the shit, paint it, and slap it back on.

I have been wanting to get one of these to see if I couldn't make a mold of them and make them much cheaper than what they cost now. If anyone has called dibs then I'm shit out of luck but if not let me know cause I am quite serious and I have the knowledge to get this done.
