I was just curious to see if anyone else gets in as many accidents as me, even though only one was my fault I've been in four. Luckilly none have been THAT bad, my worst was on my way out of school.

There's a lot of traffic and the cars are forced out in a single line till we hit the main street. Anyway some dip shit thought it would be cool to speed by traffic on the dirt and cut off all the cars off WHILE they were moving. While he was doing this I lit up a cig dropped it on my nuts, burned my leg, looked up and smashed into a suv going like 10 mph. Then the car behind me smashed into me, thank god it was only a tahoe (bullshit). After assessing the damage my front bumper was split in half, my hood was out of allignment, and I needed a rear bumper. What really pissed me off is that the cop said everyone had to pay for their own cars and he let the kid that caused all this shit go, and then I talked to the kids friends and they said he was drunk/high at the time. There just aint no justice these days.

I got ran the hell over. The guy cut the corner short and came head on to me while I was sitting at a stop light. He finally stopped when the tires of his truck hit my windshield. I seriously thought I was going to die.

going on the sccaII track i was going about 100 and tried to take a 90 degree turn anyways back slid out tried to correct and went straight into a stack of tires

my brand new bomex front is gone intercooler got pushed back in and dented really bad, hood got bent really bad, windshield cracked, and air bags deployed

the one and only accident i've been in with my eclipse. It was the first or second time it snowed this past winter, and my old work had a parking lot the size of 3-4 football fields in the back which was a giant sheet of ice. so when i got off i was all excited to be outta that damn place so i drove off like an asshole, started doin some "tricks" (you know that e-brake thing lol) anyway, at the other end of the parking lot there was a row of about 10 progressive insurance trucks parked at the edge of the parking lot. anyway, my z-rated summer only tires really liked going 35 on ice, so when i tried to exit the parking lot, i went right straight underneath one of their trucks. put it in reverse, drove away. no more hood, bumper, or fender. its all good though because instead of paying my 500 deductible i just bought a 550$ cf hood and they waived my deductible. only shitty part was the month of downtime with NO car.

I was on my way to work one morning driving down kendall dr in miami. When outa nowhere came this object I have no idea what it was or why it was flying across the road. this thing went under my front passanger side tire and flipped up and dented my front fender pushing it out and away from the car. It sucked and my fender is still fucked-up.

I had my eclipse for two weeks. Was driving to wendys to cure the munchies when this 40 year old man, who was mildly retarded none the less, ran a stop sign. I was doing 25mph through the intersection as was he. He hit my front passenger fender in front of the tire. Crushed the bumper, bent the hood, destroyed the fender and the inner fender well. The best part is that he had an 83 Reliant K car with the metal bumper. So he bounced me into oncomming traffic, luckily they stopped, and his now bent bumped gouged/scratched the entire passenger side of my car all the way dow nto the back bumper. Well fortionatly there was a cop comming at me and one right behind me when he hit me so he couldn' t get out of that one. If I had a way to post em I have the pics of the car after the accident, in the body shop and after the fact. About $3,500 worth of damage. Later about a year later I fin out the body shop didn't bolt my fneder right now my A-Pillar is rusting.

the worst accident that my eclipse has been in happened a few months after i got the car. i was at this weekly car show that is held every week back home and when i was parking my car, i accidentally went over the parking bump and cracked the bumper when i pulled back. heres a pic of the damage.



it cost me 300 bucks to fix it. thats including an oem bumper, paint and install.

I almost did but I think it looks way better now. That guy bought me a new OEM front bumper, new OEM headlights and a CF hood.

Daisy has been fairly fortunate imo.

1. Got cut off on K15(?) bear Boeing in Wichita by some tool in a lifted beater 4x4. Forced me to the shoulder and when I corrected I lost it and spun into a Blazer and came to a stop in the fast lane pointing the wrong way in morning rush hour on a snowy morning. I bashed in the bottom of the Blazer's drivers door with my driver's side headlight and fucked up my front clip a bit.

2. Got some smokes at QT at lunch. It wasn't until after work that I noticed that some tool (again in a large truck obviously) had backed out and, while turning his wheels to get out of the spot to one side, used his bumper to crease the entire drivers rear fender from door to tail light. Of course, there were no cameras there to see who did it and he got away scott free while I had a $700+ repair bill. To this day, the paint doesn't match and up close you can see where the old do0d who did the body work for me used like 160grit sandpaper or something to prep. Shit, you can see the difference in the paint in my sig too. (Look where the rear bumper skin meets the rear fender imo)

So 2 wrecks, neither my fault, neither caught the other guy, but both I paid for in repairs and increased premiums. :thumbsdown

Four days after my car - got cut off going 100km/h approaching a left-hand bend. He couldn't pass me since his ricey civic only had like 70 horsepower and takes like 15 seconds to go from a dead stop to 120km/h - so he was on my inside through this narrow bend. I took it wide as to not sideswipe him (didn't want to mess up my car!!), put two tires off the shoulder, and when they hit the pavement again my car switched ends and I flew backwards into the ditch. No grass and it was just dirt and gravel (very slippery). I hit three posts and a barb wire fence going around 40, and a big rock too. The final damage count was almost $8,000 with all new parts but I tracked down my own and got the final bill to $3,700. My roof is rusting, my driver's side headlight is still scratched, and my front bumper has some pretty serious damage. Fixing the rocker panel alone was $1,800. They did a really good job matching the paint, though, and I was lucky. Five feet behind my car was a huge tree, and my quarter panels escaped completely unscathed (thank God).

Edit: Did you know a brand new door for my car, from the body shop, was $2,200cdn? Bullshit!

ive got two:

a couple months after i got the eclipse in 99, i was driving past a major shopping center when an old lady pulled out RIGHT in front of me. fortunatly for her, i swerved to the left (the turn lane) and missed killing her by a few inches. hood, both front fenders, tires, wheels, axles, bumpercovor, bumper, radiator, glass, ps pump...all replaced. airbags didnt deploy, not a damn bruise on me or my passenger. the eclipse is a damn safe car IMO.

in september of last year i was t-boned while trying to turn into a parking lot. not my fault...some crazy lady decided to pull out into me while i was in the turn lane, as if she couldnt see there was a car DIRECTLY in front of her. not much damage, the front quarterpanel was ruined, the glass on that side was out, and the door was completely caved in. it actually pinned me inside the car, lol. wouldnt you know..that fucker was still drivable, and i drove it back to my apt. complex after it was all said and done. i had to hang halfway out of the window because i couldnt fit in the drivers seat though, lol.

i will always think of the eclipse as a very stable and safe car. in minor accidents it holds up VERY well. unfortunatly i drive a tin can (neon) now, and i dont feel as safe. the other day i found a HUGE dent (about 10"x14")in my roof, and out of anger begain punching my headliner to get it out. it took less than 10 seconds. that type of stability makes me wonder, lol.

i've been in a few. lets see, first was at a stupid intersection when my windows were fogged. i could see lights down the road, so i went. and with my luck, there was a guy with no lights on comming down the road very close, and i was almost straight in my lan when i got hit in the left front fender. i had time to swerve and just hit that side. the mother fucker didn't even stop or anything. just ran into me. then, it was slick out and i had bald tires, so i turn right to go to my gf's house and it didn't turn. i was able to go wheel lock to wheel lock b4 i bumped into a fire hydrant, cracking my headlight and putting a ding in that same fender(wasnt fixed yet) then, this last xmas, i went home and i had studs on all 4 tires. brand new that day, and i was about 1 hour from my house when i did a 360 on the road at about midnight and smashed my front left AGAIN into a bank, with my back left tire about 2 feet off the ground. the first thing i did was whip my camera out as i was getting out. "Ok, i have just wrecked... and this is my cracked bumper" those urethane bumpers take a beating. it was frost bitten and split right down the middle. Then, i zip tyed the mofo on, and then i hit a badger. then, the next day, i decapitated a cat, made its spine stick out. and the left half of my bumper flew off and my friend behind me hit it, and we never found it. now, i have my 95 bumper on. buddy club 2 time.

my eclipse has been in one crash that i can tell...from the chick who had it before me...messed up the door and shit. I found it out when i started to repaint the car and sanded down to body cheese...oh well.

After lowering the RS in June last summer, I was turning into a shop on a back road to get the alignment done. I turned in real slow so I didn't bottom out and an early 2000 Honda Accord plowed into my passenger side. I was t-boned :(

Cost me about $4k to buy it back (totalled), and get body work done to fix it. I got about 8k out of it, and only owed 2k on my loan for the car. I came out w/ $2k cash, which I used to buy my 3000gt vr4 that had a spun bearing at the time. You don't want to know how much more $$$ I have thrown around since that day. You could say that was the beginning haha

to make a long storey short.....we have this thing up here called snow......it was icey in the middle of the road(the lines)

I was making a lane change from right to left and the lady in the left lane in front of me slowed and touched her brakes........i in turn tapped mine but I was in the middle of the lane doin 70mph and i slipped on the ice and ran into a 4' high cement road barrier.......did a 180 and was still doing 60 backwards.........

did that make any sense?

remember the time we had freezing rain not too long ago? Right after Kill Bill 2 premiered if I remember right. Driving down Cochrane Hill in my car, the weight of the car was sliding down the hill and my tires did nothing to stop. It wasn't brakes or gas, all four tires just slid and there was nothing I could do to stop it. So I waited until I hit the ditch, no damage thank god, parked my car, and went back and got it the next morning.

that happened to me too....except like 4 yrs ago in my 95 blazer.....

except the fuckin hill was like a 3*(degree) incline imfo.

I was driving down a highway in Mass. and someone in a stolen car bolted out in front of me and I hit him head on going 75mph. broken axel, bent frame, broken windshield, destroyed engine, totaled car. Sad thing is that all insurance would do is pay off my car, not help me get a new one and nothing for all the aftermarket parts. I have pic's but I don't know how to post them.

I've had bad luck with the exteror since the very day i got my car.Excuse the extremly long post but i'm sure my story will amuse some.Enjoy. The first day i had my car i was driving it home and i stopped at a conveniace store to get some munchies and a i was sitting in my car feasting when a truck pulled in the space next to me. the passenger went to get out and opened his door right into my rear quarter and put a nice size dent in it(I've seen a pic on here of another memers car with a dent in the same exact spot)To top it all off he denied doing it. We argued for like 15 mins and then when I turned around he jumped in the truck and the f**kin bastards took off.Not to long after that a retard was painting his house and decided a power line would be a great place to hang his paint bucket. Needless to say it did'nt stay there to long. It slid down the line and fell off and landed right in front of my car and splattered whhite paint all over the front of my car.I mede him clean it on his hands and knees but i still had to take polishing compound to it. About 3 monthes later, when we had the first snow of the winter, I came around a 90 degree downhill corner , just inching along because z rated tires don't like snow and i made the corner just fine and dandy then i just started drifting off the side of the road and smacked a gaurd rail with the passenger fender, creasing it slightly.So me and my brother pounded out the crease and it still looked like ass but 1000 times better than a crease.About 2 weeks after that i come out of wal-mart to discover someone did a hit and run on the very fender i just (sorta) fixed.A month later again the same fender gets hit by a cowerdly bastard that took off. Only this time he added a nice scratch to the door and rear bumper. As if that was'nt enough not to long after that someone else hit the same fender and took off again for the third time! It is abosluetly unbelivable that the same fender could get creased by me then hit three times. I'm debating on whether or not i really want to replace the fender.Thats my horror story, and i have'nt even owned the car a year yet.

Oh yeah i forgot another thing. I was sittin a parking lot and a friend of mine saw me and thought if would be cool to rip in by me with his mustang, well he came flying in the parking lot and was angled toward my rear bumper as he hit a patch of ice and slid into me. I spun almost 360 degrees on dry pavement. My neck hurt for almost two weeks from the whiplash and pounding my head off the roof, but remarkably the only damage that was done was a scuff to the rear bumper right over my muffler.My car is straight as an arrow, the bumper is fine and the paint is'nt even cracked.I feel i've been very lucky with this many accidents and i'm not hurt and my car has only incurred cosmetic damage. I am a little pissed that this many things have happened in less than a year and only one was my fault though.The whole time i drove peice of crap cars before this one I did'nt have any accidents my fault or not, as soon as save enough of my hard earned money to buy a decent car all this stuff happens. Maybe i'm cursed and should go back to driving Dodge spirits and Olds fierenza's
