74596, Question about e-brake handles Posted by nightwolf2369, Jul-04-04 10:38 AM
hey guys, i am gonna spend some money and buy a black Ractive shift boot and i figured i would buy the black Ractive e-brake boot and -brake handle while i am at it. anyways, i found them on sounddomain and it says that the ebrake boot and handle are universal. my question is, had anyone had any problems with any universal items like these before? also, maybe if you could post some pics to see what it would look like. thanx

search and ye shall receive it is hard to install them since the stock e-brake handle is a bugger use brute strength and you could pry it off, though, and then its easy to put the new one on.

There ya go. V-Racing Shift and E-brake boots. Some e-brake handle from Autozone, which had to be modified, and Ichibahn shift knob.

so for the e-brake handle, you had to pry of the original one?

its not really that hard to take off the e brake cover. just pull up on the cover and it should come off.

Yea, just keep pulling on it. Mine came off pretty easily, but i was pulling on my friends and it seemed tougher. Keep pullin, it'll eventually come off.
EDIT: As for shift boots, make sure you buy one that'l fit because the one i bought was way too small and i had to modify it to work.
