not only did i have to cut apart the gauges to get them to fit (and they still dont fit properly) but does the tach look like its a lighter shade of blue ?

i figured for 100$ they would be better than that... ide expect that from ebay gauges, but not speed hut... WTF

your right it does look lighter....and that is messed up you had to trim the damn things. I would demand your money back. That is trash man.

send em back. no one should pay 100 for regular glow gauges... they aren't even reverse glow... bummer

well i paid that much cos ive heard good things about speedhut, and bad things about ebay... i figured it would be worth spending the extra money to ensure quality...

Contact the sales department and talk to Aaron. I'm sure he'll straighten things out for you.

speed hut is only worth the money if you get their special custom gauges. i got some reverse glow silver faced gauges with custom graphics and fonts for like $80 somethingish. how'd you end up paying $100? for what you ordered i doubt there would've been much difference with a generic set. i got my old regular ones from www.procarparts.com and never had any problems. i've never had any problems with my speed hut gauges either. mine were already cut and look fantastic..

they're a pretty awesome company so if you're not satisifed try giving them a call and see what they can do.

I ended up getting custom reverse indiglo guages from Blackcatcustom.com (thanks Tim97rs)
my speedometer goes to 200mph, and the redline is at 7800 (my afx redline) and stops at 10k

i think they were 80$ + 8$ for the upgraded inverter + shipping...100$ was a ball park figure.

i emailed them, and they emailed me back asking what was wrong. so im waiting to see what they say.


btw, this is what was wrong:

2 wire wraps (where the wires connect to the panel) were too long and had to be cut in order to fit

the water temp panel was not shaped properly and had to be cut to fit

the alignment holes in the tach panel are placed improperly, and are shifted too far over to the left (you can see in the pics)

and the tach is brighter than the rest of the panels

Seriously dude, call speedhut, talk to Aaron. Now, do it!!

ya if that much is wrong i'm sure they'll replace it. it'd prolly have been better to call before hacking anything though :P

the hacking i didnt care about. nothing ever fits perfectly on our cars :-p the different colors is what im pissed about. im waiting to hear back from them

seems like they are selling the same gauges as ebay but mark up is 100% more

I think I have speed hut gauge thingies too. I could never drive with all that light in front of me. I have the reverse kind and they look real good. I'd go blind driving with the ones you bought.

i bought the ones i bought because my gauge lights dont work. i wouldnt have been able to see with the reverse glows.

uhm......what? Reverse glow just means the numbers light up instead of the face lighting up. You could have seen just fine :wary

ditto.. unless you mean like all your needle lights an stuff don't work too. then i can see why you'd need regular indiglos. the needles would be backlit by the gauge face. with reverse-indiglos your needles need to be illuminated.
