73823, CF hatch?
Posted by Mattcky2k, Jun-17-04 11:17 AM
does anyone make a CF hatch for the eclipse? i've seen them for hondas and CF trunk lids for a lot of stuff but i don't think i've seen one for the eclipse. i'd love to have one but i'm sure it would be alot more than a CF hood.

Nope. I've looked everywhere for one and couldn't find it. I've found out how to lay carbon fiber over the existing body but that wouldn't do anything but look good.

Maybe his fenders, bumpers, hood, and hatch. But you can't make the whole car out of it or you'll crush the car under the torque.

No shit shirlock, but to completely rebuild an entire 2g body with CF would be one of the most expensive undertakings of all time. If someone has actually done this I'd like to see proof of it.

Yeah well it still could be done. COULD be done. as in, theoretically.

I have seen the CF hatch squidskins makes. It is amazing. Such a high quality piece... I was blown away. Even pushing on the part that should have been weakest (base of the hatch glass) it was nice and solid, and the weave was perfect.
