A couple months back someone reamed the side of my sister's 95 red RS pulling out of a parking spot, and made all sorts of nasty to the driver side rear quarter panel piece.

I took a look around down there but I don't see how to unbolt it, I would like to just head to the junkyard and find a donor piece to replace it (whoever hit the car had a metal bumper or something, multiple gashes actually peeled bits of metal out)

any tips on how to replace it?

that is one of the few pieces that dosent unbolt. if you trace it around it goes all the way around without a single seam!
if you do figure out how to get it off in one piece, you will be a VERY popular guy with that writeup!
you might try talking to an autobody shop and ask them what they know about it. who knows what tricks they might have. lastly tou can call Satan and quiz them about it.

if its a dent that can be pulled out, then they will do so...But, generally, they have to cut the quarter panel and weld a new one on. Jus make sure you pick a good body shop, as i would NOT suggest doing it yourself.

This is the least entertaing thing in my book it might be better to just fix it by bondoing if its just a few gashes and not to big but if not you gota take well id use my plasma cutter to cut it out then weld the new peice on as for a junk yard good luck on getting them to take it out for you and not having to pay a large sum of $$$$ satan might be just as good as them since they can just get the sheet and not worry about stripping it off :)

you cannot remove teh RQP without cutting it out. I had mine done.....PITA IMO.


Don't bother.....I'd cut out te piece and replace where the dent is.

Its not just a dent, its a nice gashed up dent thats heavily creased in like 3 places. No easy pop-out in any lifetime. Too deep to bondo well.

have the insurance CO look at it. generally that work is tremendously expensive for a body shop..and hers being a 95...it may be more than the car is worth..hence the ins co may total it out.
