I got my car back from the body shop after having repairs done on it. And it keeps chipping. It has been about 3 months now. The paint keeps chipping in the same place. I have taken my car back 2 time for the chips. Thursday will be number 3. :rolleyes What would keeping making it chip like that? It doesn't seem to be touching any thing.

Either they didn't put enough primer on, they didn't use a flex agent with the paint, or you don't have enough clearcoat.

I think it may be the not enough clearcoat. When they gave me back my car it had fish eyes in the paint. I took it back and they wet sand the area with the fish eyes. Maybe they went to far in the clearcoat, and now its chipping because of it.

Most of the time its has to do with the prep work that they didn't do. When you take it back make sure they redo the whole part and not just spray the paint on the flaking part. Is it Fiberglass or Urethane you are working with???

Too much clearcoat would not cause your paint to chip away. It would actually prevent it.

They are working on the rear quarter panel(passengers side. I was just looking at it and I found more chips.

I wonder if my current/onhiswayout paint guy did yours. He is f#$^ing washed up when it comes to body work and painting. My friend got his painted with minor body work and the paint looks like shit... the body work is showing through.
Anyway, it could be a number of things, go back to whomever painted it and let them know and make em fix it.
