Alright, to be honest, the Talon tail lights bore me stock. People stain them red, which looks better but...I've been trying to think of something sharp looking, but not ricey, that might work. So, here's a really rushed photochop of what I'm thinking about:



And thanks to Corbin for the pic of his tails which I snagged from his site. Anyway, part Talon/part Pontiac. If I can manage to get the Talon letters to light up evenly, I think it'd be badass looking.

Thoughts?

not bad...however i think if the whole lighting assembly...minus the reverse spots and the TALON letters...was the same shade it would look hella better...Kinda like mine...jus tape off the reverse lights and red out the TALON letters.

I saw a nice blue Talon at the east coast shootout this weekend in Evo VIII 'BBY' color. the center piece was painted to match the color of the car as well as the 'talon' letters; while the amber part of the lights were tinted kinda like yours. It also had the gsx turbo wing, which I never thought would look good on a talon but i was wrong. Icedout's got some pics of em, I'll see if he can send them.

For the past 3 years that I've owned my car I've wanted to do the Pontiac Sunfire idea where the Talon letters would light up all the time, just like Pontiac does on the back of the Sunfires.

No one knew then...and they don't seem to know now either if this is possible, or how you could do it.

But I think it would look sooo sweet to see TALON lit up at night

What does everyone else think?

Anyone know if it can be done?

I like mine cuz they're all red now and yes it does kinda look like the eclipse tails.....But don't get me wrong. I LOVE MY TALON!!!!!!1

You basicly described what I was gunna do...have the entire center piece bondoed over and painted to match the car and be level with the tails..then leave an area for the liscense plate...and a gsx turbo wing...Doh!..oh well at least someone thinks it looks good before it was done..


Edit: I just noticed the first black talon had the eclipse low spoiler..

Yeah, that was me with the mostly lit center piece. Right now it's sitting half assembled on my balcony collecting dust and everytime I go out for a smoke, I see it, and I want to finish it up. Must have been on the car close to 2 years ago too. It's been off now for at least 6 months imo. :P

I almost got a couple more neons this past weekend to redo it better, but I opted for tight new fog lights instead. Oh well. :shrug It should be done before the shootout imo.

Oh, and for what it's worth, I kinda like the idea in the original post up there. The black outlines really add some more weight to the lights imo. Not bad!

Thanks man, I think I'm gonna go for it (not to say the ideas that people posted weren't badass, I just wanna be unique and not feel like I'm ripping someone else's design).

And again, excuse the piss poor photoshop. I just wanted a quick visual so I could see how it would look.

Anyone got a cheap set of Talon tails they wanna sell, so I can take my time (as the Talon is my daily)? ;)
