I think this is the right forum for this just because of the pics. The job was pretty easy, I took about an inch off.

the e brake looks like it got off the short bus.

I would have cut it more but on the shifter it starts to curve so I didnt want my knob to be at too much of an angle. I cut it as much as I could without havin it look too off-center.

I did the same thing with mine.

If you want to take more you have to take the extra inch of at the spot above the pivot point.

I bought a cheap short throw shifter off of ebay, but I felt it was too tall. I lopped about 3 inches out of it, and welded it back together angled towards the back of the car. Now 1st is straight up, and 2nd is pulled back. Here are pics. Everyone I talk to says it's the shortest shift they've ever felt.

Damn that shifters low! The throw must be like an inch! But making it angle back on the shifts makes it even hotter! Real Nice:thumbsup !
