My windshield trim/molding is coming up just enough to whine really loudly at highway speeds---did a search and came up with nada--

Can I just glue it back down w/o sacrificing safety? I called a buncha shops and no one wants to touch it with a ten foot pole.

What kinda glue can I use? Gasket maker?

this is driving me nuts---literally no shops will fix this and I have no idea why, but its so bad now that I cannot drive hte car home--i'll literally go insane with 11 hours of WHHIIINNNNEE

yea that is a real joke but shops wont toch it. i could tell you a story about mne but i a sure you better things to do with your time. You can get actual windshield adhesive that is used on the windshield from most autobody supply shops or from online. use that to glue it back down...do not try to pull it up you can crack the windshield and trust me it costs 400. for that baby. When you glue it put tape over it so it cant squeeze back up for 24hours.....if you have to use duct tape then do it but be careful removing it. window shops doent want to touch it because if they break it they own it! the correct way to fix that is remove the window and moulding, install new moulding on the window and reinstall the window. I have found one shop in Lisle IL that will do it...the rest run!

Did you take it to glass shops or windshield installers? It's really easy to fix. And a glass shop should fix it no problem. I used to do it all the time. All you do is run a bead of silicone under the molding where it's leaking and then tape it down for awhile and you're good to go.

to find out where its leaking, park the car in a non-windy place (garage) and get a friend. have them use a source of compressed air (or a blowdryer) and go around the outer edge of the windsheild w/ it. from the other side, track the blowdryer w/ your hand and feel for any air leaking through.
