69986, What kind of hoodpins are the least noticable? Posted by MajinVejitaXV, Apr-01-04 04:10 PM
Looking at painting my car and adding a carbon fiber hood from VIS (OEM style, of course), and was wondering what kind of hoodpins/hoodlocks are the most....stealth. I want them to actually function, but I don't want them to be like huge fargin' eyesores.
Pics would kickass, along with retailers.
Thanks, Corey

I have yet to install mine.....I hate the fact I gotta hit my hood with a drill.
I need support here...I mean I never drive my car anyhow...:-P
Would anyone suggest bringing it to a body shop and having them do it?? I'm scared!!! ;(

painted black ones
why they don't sell gunmetal or black chrome hoodpins instead of those chrome blue or red ones is beyond me...
or even better - carbon fiber hoodpins :thumbsup

all those colored hood pins fade like whoa over time. CF pins would be a major PIA to make and they would prolly cost around $200 for a set.

I have those exact same hood pins. I got them off ebay, dont remember how much. They work pretty good. Not as strong as I wanted but they keep the hood from rattling.
