I'm a newbie so I have no idea about anything that I'm doing hehe, if you see a mistake please correct me.

I did a quick search in the forum regarding this topic and nothing came up, so I don't think anyone's mentioned it before.

I know that it is possible to do the rear conversion on a Talon to a Eclipse rear using the OEM bumper/lights etc. However would it be possible to do the same with an Eclipse body kit? Essentially the rear bumper would be the same deal right? You install the bumber, extend the wiring for reverse lights, install lights, bando the parts that needs to be filled etc.

Any thoughts on this?

Yep, you answered your own question. Done the same way only you use the aftermarket bumper instead of the stock one.

funny, i just did a search and came back with 29 threads about this....

to do a 97+ eclipse swap on your car you will also need a new front and 97+ style headlights...All Talons came with the 95-96 style, which are a tad bigger tehn the newer ones.

if you are planning on switching the rear bumper you'll also need to buy eclipse taillights

just to extend this topic a little further. 97-99 headlights fitment on a 95. would it be possilbe? how does the wiring look etc? since the body kit I'm looking at is actually for 97+. and from what I read the newer headlights are a little shorter. so if I got these would it save me the time shaving the front bumper to ensure fit?

get the newer style headlights to fit th enewr style bumper...otherwise the lights are too big and will either overlap teh bumper or not even allow you to put it on...If you throw newer lights on an older car (or any talon) then you will be left with a space in between teh headlight and the bumper.

The headlights dont wire into the care the bulbs just go into the headlights...you just bolt down the headlights.
