Hey guys I just got my carbon fiber lip today....Looks fucken great.

Thing is I can't install it aparently I have no front bumper metal under support...WTF

I guess there is supposed to be a metal support on the bottom of the stock bumper with a few bolts and such...I don't have it.

Anyone have any suggestions? Do I need to get that metal support, or can I just put some bolts in it...

I know there are a few people with these lips...suggestions would be nice.

You can put bolts right through it and through the bottom of your bumper. Plus you can get the tensioner rods for the front. BTW where did you get it and how much did you pay total if you don't mind me asking?

I paid 200 for it and I got if from a former 2gnt member....I just got back from picking it up. The damn thing was NEVER installed BRAND NEW LIKE...IMO

Damn I wish I could get one for that price. I really want one bad.

there is a guy on dsmtuners that makes em. his name on the board is GSXTCY or something to that effect. i think he charges 250 for em shipped but dont quote me on that. tell him i referred you so maybe ill get lucky and get a discount when i buy mine :thumbsup

Ok thanks, but I mean the flat cf lip...like the one on the original ff eclipse, not the one that bolts on the stock bumper. Where can I find those for a good price?

the flat one? any pics? only cf lip i know even exists is the cf version of the rmdsm lip.

The one I'm referring too, is the one that is flat and you can use the tensioner rods on the front to keep it up. Here is a picture of my boys RSX type-S that has one his front bumper.



If anyone knows where I can get one cheap please let me know.

i dont think they make those for our cars. i could be wrong but if anything, im sure you can get it custom made.

Hey that's like the one I'm making for the 95'-96 bumpers.

Those are scrape guards for shows aren't they? I have never actually seen a car driving around with those but have seen them everywhere at shows. I remember seeing them for sale somewhere, but I think the majority of them are custom jobs because they have to be cut and fitted to your sideskirts, or front/rear bumper designs so they don't look too big/small.

I need get some cf woven material so I make my own scrap gaurd. Just make fiberglass base, adheas the cf material to the fiberglass and then have it cleared.

thats a universal type of part. you can find them alot of places. nopi has em (NOPI sucks IMO...but they have everything) im not to sure about the fit.

We make flat lips, not in carbon fiber though. Its not strong enough for that area of the car.

not sure if this will help you with bolting up your chin spoiler but it's a quick description. also, the metal piece under the front bumper is like 15 bucks from the dealership but you'll have to find the bolts from local hardware stores to save a few more bucks if you want.

Aggression, the thing you're looking for is a universal splitter, they fit ANY bumper on ANY car. You can get one from www.teamprototype.com they make really high quality stuff. Check it out.

Yup, $125 shipped is what we sell them for, but we do not have any cut at the moment. Hopefully we will get some more cut soon but we are in the middle of some other projects.

If that question is directed to me, we make them out of ABS plastic. This material is extermely durable. My car is lowered 1.5 inches, the lip on my car was driven through the entire winter and it still looks the way it did when I first put it on.
