I just got my HID kit from Bruce's Speed Shop. From what I've read, this is supposed to be plug-and-play, but I'm not sure if I'm missing a connection from the ballast. The ballasts have built-in starters, and there's only one wire exiting the ballast. The blubs have 2 wires coming out w/ those thin connectors (it looks like they plug into the stock harness-I tried, but the bulbs don't light). Any ideas? I don't have my camera on me, but I'll post pictures of the kit later tonight. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance!!

hmm it looks like somethings missing... there's supposed to be part that clips right into the stock plug for the regular halogen bulbs. i think that's the extra black connector that's not connected. does that fit the stock bulbs harness? idk why you have the free red and blue wires though...

Actually, the red/blue wires run straight through to the part of the harness that is connected to the ballast. The red/black wires run through to the connector that I'm pointing to in the pic. I thought maybe the free red/black wires plugged into the stock harness (where the bulb goes-i tried), but then I realized there isn't any power going through to the ballast.

That's really weird. Looks like you are missing the part that powers the ballast.

Jason, did your kit look anything like mine? I have a feeling I'm missing a connection between the ballast and the plug. I called Bruce's, and they weren't cooperative at all. They said the box left their shop sealed (the shipping box was sealed, of course, but the HID box itself had no tape on it at all), they insisted that everything I needed to install the kit was in the box, and the box says the kit comes with 2 brackets (those were missing). I've heard nothing but good things about this kit as well as Bruce's Speed, but after talking to them (Bruce's) on the phone, I feel like I threw $375 away.

No, it looks like they changed the ballasts. Mine looked different. Do the instructions say anything?

No paper instructions, just a diagram on the box. I printed instructions from hanabiusa.com, and the diagram follows what I have in my kit, except that the plastic clip at the end of the harness that goes through the grommet doesn't fit into the ballast. I'm tempted to shave the sides of the clip to let it fit into the ballast, but I think it plugs into a short connecting wire that didn't come with the kit. I also don't want to shave the plastic just in case I have to return it, but the guys at Bruce's sound like they want nothing to do with it. Any other ideas? Is there any place that sells wiring harnesses for these systems?

I wouldn't buy any thing extra for it. I'd call bruces up again. They were fine with replacing my kit when I had bad bulbs.
