I'm thinking about putting on Ubers Enkeis. What do you think of them on my car?




Also, I photoshopped the rear. I painted the center piece and removed the mitsu and gs stickers. Poorly done, but I like it.
I know several people do this, so...Im not sure

If yes, should I keep the ECLIPSE letters silver or paint them? What color?

How about red to match the tail?

If you're doing red then I would paint around the letters then pull them off. That way the red centerpiece shows through. I've seen someone do it on a black Eclipse and it looked freakin awesome.

I was going to wait till i had pics but this is what I am working on currently. Various new toys are at the shop getting painted as we speak, and the car will go in next week to get mirrors/handlesetc. Anyway, i pulled apart the center piece(like the write up on the main page) and had the part w/ the lettering painted to match the car. Then they peeled off the "ECLIPSE" part and clear coated it after getting rid of teh goo. Then i took the other half and lined it with that reflective tape they have on the orange highway vests. Then i wired a red LED where each letter would be. I tested it yesterday, looks sweet imo. Now i just need to figure out the safest way to wire it so that it only works when i step on the brakes. Anyone with an opinion on that?

And since im not trying to jack your thread, i say go for the rims if you like them. As far as your center piece i think it'll look good whit with either the stock silver letters,black letters, or do like EclipseRST^^^^ suggested and have the red lens show. OR you could do what i did.

On a painted center section, I think black and silver are the only two colors that can really pull off the chrome eclipse lettering well. Definitely loose the cheapo plastic badges on the deck lid though. At some point, I plan to find some small chrome letters to spell out 'Mitsubishi' and 'RS' to replace the stock badges.

i am partial to the 97-99 gs rims, sorry, i say no. i like the center tail though. :thumbsup either or will work for that. i need to get mine painted.

Follow Brian's lead and by the Excel F1. Kinda has the stock 16in shape but better :).
