I have a silver 99RS nd I have the clear tails installed currently (see sig pic). I'm thinking of getting rid of them, goign back to stock and having the center piece painted to matc hthe car, then re-installing the ECLIPSE but painting it black first. Right now I have the euro clear corner lights as well. What do you all think I should do? I would be willing to get rid of these clears if I go back to stock. So if anyone wants to make an offer I'm open to suggestions too.

go back to stock imo. i hate clear tails but thats just me.

trade you my stock tail lights if you need a set of factory lights.

Stay clear, I think they're bad especially on silver cars, plus they're a nice middle finger to the cops.

I like them on your car. I normally hate aftermarket tails but the only ones I've seen pull it off are you and oracle. Keep 'em.

I also say stay with the clear because of the color of the car. Silver and clear go well together. Of course, you could go back to stock, but clear and silver have a good clean look versus having carbon fiber or black tail lights.

The clear look good on silver like spreadeagle said, but I would change back to stock. Its your car, you do what you think would look good :thumbsup

What i'd do is keep the clears, but have the center part color matched to the car, i like your idea about putting the eclipse back on but painting it black too

I think if you painted the center clear peice it would be teh hottness though. Maybe even getting some VHT Niteshades (taillight tint off eBay, and putting a lil on).

Thanks for the commetns guys. I'm probably going to have the stock center color matched to the car and trash the center clear piece. It has some wicked scratches on it (I got it used). For those that have had it done, what does it cost? I just got a nice big ass aircompressor last week so I could probably get a spray gun and do it myself. Any tips?

why would you get rid of the clear center peice just get that one painted.

Its got some deep scrathes to it and I think amybe one of the bolts is stripped. It doesn't look as clean as it should I think.

What kind of paint are you going to use to paint the letters? because I wanted to do that too just havn't got around to get the letters yet.

Not really sure. Maybe find some carbon fiber ones. Until I can afford to get it painted, I haven't given it that much thought.

I think the clear tails and side markers look almost as bad as all those mis-matched carbon fiber hoods.

It's your car. Whatever you like to be seen cruizing around in is what you should have. Don't worry about us.

I say keep the clears and paint the center. I used to have the full clears, but ended up putting the stock center piece back in because it's really damn close to my car's paint color

What kind of paint would work with the letters if I want to paint them? I am not sure because some of them peel off easily and I don't want that to happen.

i say keep em too, im considering doin this with my car. i saw a green eclipse like mine with clears and it looks truly bad ass. i am thinking about taking mine a step further and messin with the wiring a little. make the 2 lights that are normally stop, headlights on, and blinker, and just change them over to a stop and headlights on, and wire the outer one to where its a blinker, make it where it dosent light up when the headlights are on, and put an amber bulb in it. it would actually give the furthest lights a purpose. so youd have something like the euro tails, but with clear tails
