Hey guys,
Just wondering how you guys keep daily drivers clean in the winter. It has barely got above freezing here in 2 weeks. Those drive thru washes don't do anything but swish the dirt around, I don't have one of the pull up and wash it yourself places w/in 50 miles of my house, and I certainly don't want the local Doctor Wash to gouge me for 75 bucks for a wash (that's not even wax or detailed).
What do you guys do, and if your going to say "put it in a garage or a cover..." Don't bother posting.
Do any of you guys use the "Waterless" car was wipes? I haven't used them b/c I don't trust them but if any of you have had good experiences and results let me know.
Peace and humptiness foreva, :)

i went to a shell station and they had an automatic wash, and i payed $8 ($6 if you buy gas there) for the top of the line wash, and it actully wasn't too bad (not up to my standards, but still) it got the salt off...then it snowed again :( hope this helps....

it rained here yesterday, so that's clean enough for me in these really cold temps.

well, the thing is, how much do you spend at the spray wash? $1, 2? its almost necessary (at least for my car) to spend closer to $4-5 for a cleaning. and waterless washing /me shudders, if your car is realy that bad youd be sanding your clear coat, and that my friend is :thumbsdown either dont worry about it or shell the $$ out to really wash it. or go to a carwash, but 2 minutes of cleaning wont do anything but push dirt around

I have a spray and wash less than a mile away from my house. I wash my car every day that it's not going to snow or sleet or something. For about a dollar I spray with the high pressure soap and then rinse it off. Car comes out really clean. Can't WAIT until summer. Only another month or so before the weather gets better.

I hose mine off every other day to keep the salt off. I can't wait until this damn winter is over. I've got a hell of alot of minor bodywork to do, and after that...new paint!!!
