I've decided to paint the interior of my car white (just a few things on the dash and hopefully the seats), I have a black 99 GS sport, and the only thing I can find that isn't either black or gray is my white faced gauges. I want to do this myself of course, so what spray paint product do you recommend to use that won't crack or look fake. Will doing this lower the re-sale value of my car? And is it possible to paint the leather seats?
Any information on this will help, Thank you!

i used automotive touch up paint in the spray can that you can buy at any autoparts store, ive had it on for about 8 months and no chipping/fading, its perfect, as far as if it lowers value of the car, i went into the dealership and the tech's asked if the car came like that, so even they can't tell the dif. after a couple coats of paint it looks like the plastic was molded that color

as for the seats, they can be died any color you want

don't let anybody sell you some $20 interior paint. I've used $.99 wall mart spray paint to do a guy's interior.

the two tricks are:
clean the snot out of the parts you're painting to get all the armor all off.(I usually use brake parts cleaner)
use very very light coats to start out with. paint will run super easy if you put too much

I've found that the most durable paints have been primers. I've got satin white primer in my car and I can scrub it clean and have never had any chips. I love the finish too.

If you are painting just plastic parts, like vents etc... anything that doesn't flex you can just use any paint. I used plati-kote ultra enamel and i've had no problems in the couple months it's been done. But if you paint anything soft that will bend it needs a flex agent. Cyan recommended SEM, i used it on some parts, and my friends entire interior except for seats and it works great. As for the seats, i wouldn't recommend painting them because they will probably still crack, and most likely scratch from you getting in and out. What i would do is to have them rewrapped, or buy some racing seats.

Well, thanks for all the info. I'm very hesitant about putting this on my car, I just don't know how it will look when I'm finished, is there a product that won't look bad that can be easily taken off later if I want?
