65532, Removing rear seat Posted by Ozzmosis86, Jan-21-04 04:42 AM
Can everyone post any pics they have of cars with the rear seat removed? I am thinking about doing a custom fiberglass setup in place of the rear seat. I would like to remove the rear seat, but keep the trunk seperated from the passenger compartment. This way my sub doesn't sound like total shit. I am open to all ideas. I heard of someone on the board selling a carpet kit to remove the rear seat and cover it with carpet.

I spoke with SilverNT on AIM. He said he isn't making the kit anymore, but he sent me some pics of what he did do. I am at school right now, I have a 1pm class. When I get home I will post the links he sent me. His setup wasn't exactly what I was looking for anyway. Please post more pics of different setups.

What kind of setup? Pics? I am running a JL 13W7 with a 1000/1 amp, I also have a JL 300/4 amp for my MB Quart 6.5" components. I would like to keep my trunk seperate from the back seat so I can isolate the sub. I am guessing you are talking about a custom enclosure for a sub, and I am guessing it won't hold a 13W7. They need a hole that is 13.5" in diameter if I remember right. I still want to have access to my spare tire also, even if it means lifting the box out to get to it. Right now I have my sub in a MDF box I built myself to JL's specifications. It basically takes up my entire trunk. I want to build a fiberglass one that would sit to the side and be shaped to the side of the trunk. All ideas would be appreciated.
