Well today i layed up the carbon fiber and by the time I left the shop it was cured and out of the mold. I still need to trim it up a bit and such, but it is done to say the least. As soon as my Talon is back I will have it installed immediately.
I made it as a replacement and not and overlay. It is the same size, not larger. I still have to take the rear and front bars off my old deck lid and replace them on the carbon one. I will do that tomorrow sometime.
Anyhow, just wanted to post some pics of what the finished part looked like. My car is surely gonna' love me when I get it back!:)

Looks great, even though i already saw pics on the composite forum (you know which one :thumbsup). Advertising for your own business isn't allowed in posts, i was told before when i put up a post for graphics. Anyway, Leo's site is www.carbonwerks.com he has alot of nice stuff for our cars. I don't think this would be advertising if i say it lol. Check it out.

:) Yeh, i don't like advertising on the same forums I browse. But even if I didn't sell the stuff I would still post pics since it would be all for my Talon anyhow. I am a ricer at heart and have to be crative with my car.

Looks phat. Went to your site and man thats a lot of cf items you got there. Makes me want to turn into a cf monkey and buy it all! To bad my cf hood hates the winter and cracks a lot. Is there a warranty of cf hoods at all? Does anyone else cf hood have lots of cracks on it cause cf hoods are a lot of $ especially when they are covered in cracks w/in a couple months. That cf dash is CRAZY.
EDIT: I want cf front lip, lip wing on importfan, center tailight piece and possibly other cf items if I knew they would never crack.

Will you guys be making any other interior parts out of carbon fiber? like the hvac bezel, cupholder/ashtray lids, ets?? I'd be interested in the armrest if i could get more stuff in carbon fiber

Later down the road I am sure I will produce more parts...but there is a large selction already that we make. Di dyou check out www.carbonwerks.com I just added 3-4 more new pats to the DSM page. Plus right now we are concentrating on making molds for some of the newer platforms out.
