You know those "holes" in the front body where there are those black things that somewhat guard the engine from debris. It's to the sides of the fog lights. What if I took them off, like cut them off. Especially the left one, it's right in front of the CAI i have in my car, and i was thinkin that it might give it better air flow?, I wish i had a picture it'd make more sense, hehe, well thanks

GS-Ts and GSXs have it removed, so it's probably just screwed on somewhere, they dont really do anything, they're just there...my Talon doesnt have anything but mesh over the holes and the front opening...and yes it WILL help the CAI out ALOT, that's why the CAI puts the filter where it does, so that acts like an air ram

probably nothing noticable, same thing can be said for a CAI though, but just think of it this way, without that piece removed, your CAI isnt at it's full potential at all, but with that open think of how MUCH more air is hitting it DIRECTLY, I have noticed a very slight temp drop with mine(and that's reading the stock temp gauge...it used to sit perfectly at the middle, is a little lower now)

The two black plugs in the bumper outside the stock fog light locations are held in by two clips each. They are slightly difficult to remove because they are toothed c-clips (best way I can describe it). I removed my driver one to allow incoming air right to my CAI. If you can jack up the car slightly, then stick your hand behind it you will feel two metal clips on either side holding it on.

If you remove this, I recommend at least doing one of the following two: Wrap your cone filter with a prefilter (foam wrap thing that filters off the bigger shit but does not restrict air flow) or installing the metal screen/mesh in the hole in the bumper. Mine is open at the moment and the filter gets dirty FAST being exposed to direct incoming air/dirt kicked up by cars in front of me in traffic, etc.
