I'd like you guys opinion on this wheel I'm thinking of replacing my Enkie Shoguns with. This is what my car looks like now.



I want to put these Volk Racing GT-N on instead. Still will be 17X7.


Any constructive comments? If you don't think it'd work please tell why. In my head I think they would look good but I may not have taken everything into account.

looking good.. the copper wheel looks very tunerish and unique..

yeah one of them is cracked and has a bald tire. the gst in my sig isnt my car :P

they look sort of like the sokudos...

definately get the gt-n's. those are by far my favorite rims.

I think that with an offset that will give you a little bit of lip, and in silver they would look great! Gold wheels have never been my cup of tea, but I am starting to warm up to them.

The bronze/gold wheels you picked will look good with yoru color car. But if you want those, i suggest getting 18's....sometimes wheels with a lip look too small when they are 17's. Just my opinion though.

I was thinking painting my shoguns gunmetal someday... I think that would look pretty cool and mucho cheaper

Any more opinions. I'm really struggling with this decision. I've decided on these wheels but not the color (comes in gold, gunmetal, silver) or size (17 or 18). I don't think I'd be too concerned with the decisions but this one carries a high price tag so I don't want to get something I won't like. Anyone want to do a photoshop of the car with the wheels?

Personally I would go with gunmetal with a polished lip with your color car. I just don't see the copper color being pulled off very well on your ride. I like the rims though.

Those rims look nice, but I would not put gold/copper on a maroon car. My top choice would be silver because I think it would look the cleanest. Second choice would be gunmetal. I know there's a craze about having gunmetal or gold rims, but I think that's a whole JDM obsession. Most people that would see a maroon car with gold rims would think it would look tacky imo. But in the end, it's really up to what you like, and maybe you can photoshop it to see what your fav is.

Ok, the gold never sat right with me but I don't imagine it on the car very well. Anyway, I'm gonna see the silver and gunmetal colors and decide on which one will look good.

So now the question, I'm starting to lean towards 18s. What size tires are you guys running with 18s? Pros to 18s vs 17s? Cons?

18's have the lower profile so you have to be more careful

i would stick with the 17s.. 1 for the price of tires 2 less chance of damaging rim due to low tire pressure and low profile of 18s and well less rotating mass and wheight...

18's look better thats just a given our cars love big rims,

of course 18" tires are more expensive...

17's have cheaper tires and are lighter sometimes depending on the wheels...

if you got the money to buy new volks you got enough to buy 18" tires

i would not go under a 40seris sidewall if you got perfect roads maybe a 35

i dont know from experience, im sitting on 16" alloys for now.... however, my friend that works at pep boys has a 95 gs and he bought 17's, then about 6 months later bought some 18's(employee discount :)) but then after about a month he sold the 18's to some guy who didnt speak english, it was pretty funny( i guess you would have to be there). my point is, after riding on the 17's, he hated the 18's because the ride was SO much worse. so he actually went back to the 17's in the end and he still has them.


as people said before, of course the 18's LOOK better, but its not all about the looks when your on the highway bouncin up and down in your seat...

I love bronze/gold rims also and although Volks are sweet I see them all the time in my area. I really like OZ Superleggeras. I believe JamesMan has them on his car. I would get 18's. And I agree w/ whoever about that the GT-N's look like Soduko's (sp?) and cost half as much $ if you dont mind not having the Volk name brand.
