Hi. I am looking to purchase a new set of projection headlights. I am planning to paint my car Ferrari Red or some sort of brighter red. Should I get black or chrome housing? I know I definately want blue lens. Besides APC, is there a better brand? I owned two pairs or projections previously and the beam were never all that great. I would like better lighting.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but projectors aren't going to be as nice as stock. This is what I have been told. The beam is longer and more narrow. The stock lighting is wider. I was thinking about this though. Who makes good ones? Do the APC ones leak???

they all suck, especially compared to OEM, i had a set for a week, then got 99's took them apart, and painted them. you should do that. get some stock 97-ups (if you are 95-96) take them apart and get the housing painted ferrari red too, then throw in some superwhite bulbs or a catz zeta system and your set

Also, how much better is the Catz Zeta system than stock? Does anyone have it or has anyone seen it in action?

I've been thinking about getting it, but I don't know if it's worth it. I have the Hyper Xenon bulbs now that Eclipse804 was/is selling, which didn't help lighting at all.. just changed the color - which actually is worse for when it's raining.

Any experience the with Zetas anyone?

Yes, projectors are good for show.. but suck for daily use.. Just get a HID conversion kit or something.. and yes.. any sort of light with a blue tint will suck if it rains.. since it rains all winter here in Seattle, I can't see shit.. the Blue is absorbed by the wet surface.
