my interior windows fog up like crazy. i washed them last night and to no avail, they started fogging again. ;( any ideas. i am against just wiping them with my hand. any kind of special towellette(sp) thing or whatever that i can wipe it with that will be streak free?

on my old car I had some problems with that as well.. try having the heat face the windows if you could.. that helps a great deal.. If not.. try slightly cracking one window open.. maybe its something to do with the temp inside and out? umm..Ill ask around and try to find what causes that..But if those dont work.. then just stop breathing, lol. be back soon with some more answers I hope...

ill post all answer I find for you below...

1.) Question: When I turn on my heater, the front window fogs up, and there is a smell inside. What could this be?

Answer: From the sounds of the symptoms, you have a heater core that is leaking. What's happening is the engine coolant is leaking out of the heater core, and the coolant is beging carried by the blower into your car's interior. Look carefully at the carpet on either side of you cars interior. Chances are the carpet will be wet!


2.) Another site I looked suggested maybe the rubber seals are bad? thats possible as well Im sure..

3.) While driving during rain or in high humidity, car windows, visor get fogged. If you switch on the air conditioner, fog disappears. But if it is too cold to switch on the air conditioner, and you don't have defogging or forgot to buy antifogging spray, take a raw potato and rub it against the visor and windows. Potato juice reduces the surface tension of water drops and helps it form a thing film rather than fog

4.) I think they have an anti-fog spray as well.. try that too.

try those.. and let me know how that works.. if not.. Ill continue to look for some more as well... hope this helps!

I remember hearing that if you rub shaving cream on your bathroom mirror, let it sit for a few minutes, and wipe it off with a dry cloth, it will keep it from fogging up. Maybe it works for windows too. Maybe I'm talking out of my ass, I'm not sure.

is it set to re-curculate the air or fresh air? Fresh air is where it should be....Works everytime......Did noone else know that......maybe cause where I live its real cold.....Cya:thumbsup

edit: Mr Mike is right to about the shaving cream and mirror thing...just did it again yesterday morning!!!lol
