I am doing something similar to what you are talking about. I have a 2nd battery in the back for my subs and air suspension. I have a 4 gauge wire going from the front battery + terminal to the back battery + terminal. For ground I simply grounded it to the chassis. I have a custom bracket holding it down to the center frame piece right behind the rear seats. Works great and helps me power my system w/o killing my alternator.

Its really easy....

-Buy a battery box (12$ at napa).
-Remove battery and place it battery box.
-Bolt down battery box securely.
-Buy 20ft of 2 gauge wire.
-Ground the battery to the chasis near the spare tire.
-Run the rest of the 17ft of cable from the positive to the engine bay.
-Connect all your preexising power wires to it.

Done.

Nah, no breather tube. Most 'newer' batteries are seealed anyhow...not sure if the stock one is... Either way, its not putting off enough crazy fumes to do anything...

you can pick up the whole kit, box, wire, and everything at autozone, advanced auto, summit racing, any auto catalogue really. I am pretty sure you can get everything besides the wire from wally world, and i bet you could get that too.

PS: I got all my stuff from a marine supply warehouse :thumbsup

how exactly do u conect the wires from the stock location to the wires to run to the trunk? that is the only thing confusing me cuz those are damn big wires and imo would be hard to connect properly unless i'm missing some secret here...

Big ass connectors dood. Hit up a car audio place for some connectors of the gauge wire you need. I personally used 2 gauge, i wanted to use 0, but i got a good deal on teh 2 :)
