hey does anyone know if there's a size difference in the 96-96 front emblem and the 97-99? mach v sells the chrome emblem for 97-99 and mentions it's about 2.5" in diameter. i've got a 95 bumper and the indentation for the emblem is just under 2" (across the bottom from tip to tip). i went to the mitsu dealer today to see if they had any emblems that'd fit but they couldn't find anything...

has anyone with a 95-96 bumper actually ordered the mach v emlem or found an emblem that will fit?

oh i'm lookin for a chrome emblem btw, not the old red one.

dammit so they don't make 'em for '95-96?

the smallest the dealer could find were 3" emblems...

i was really hopin to put on a chrome emblem til i get an aftermarket front.. :(

The emblems off the lancer will fit our 95-96 pretty well, thats what I have on mine. Or had I should say, someone ripped it off about a month ago. I'm just too lazy to go to satan and get another.

so is it the front emblem from the lancer then? does the year matter?

Hmm, not sure. I'd measure mine, but since it was jacked. . .

The lancer emblem was just slightly bigger than the indention for the emblem. Mine stuck up just a bit from the bumper on the top diamond, but unless you got right up to it, like within 6", you couldn't tell it at all.

Just get 1 from a 3g Eclipse... either red or silver/chrome. Mine is the silver. A lil bigger than the 2g stick-on, but loads nicer :)

dude you're a 97-99... :P
the difference between the 3G emblems and the 2g 95-96 is pretty damn big..

Yeah, its pretty close to a 1/2" difference between 95-96 and 97-99 sizes.

Well U learn something everyday... never knew there was a diff. Well, if U don't have an indention in the bumper 4 an emblem, it really doesn't matter what size & the 3g stick does look proportionate & all. If U do have an indention, then I dunno. Sorry :shrug

haha yea there is an indentation on the 95-96 bumpers.. the size discrepancy was kinda the whole point of the thread :P
