I have encountered a few issues on what seats to go with for my car. One of the biggest ones is which seats will fit in my car and leave enough room for me to comfortably sit in it. I am about 5'10"-5'11" and about 210 lbs. I am not a real big guy, I would say average size. I do have very big thighs with very wide shoulders. I spoke with a few people that said the Tenzo Type-R Rally seats may be a little tight for me. I am looking for a comfortable seat for my daily driver, and I have to drive on the road from time to time for 5 hours and more. I need to have something I can live with. I subscribe to Sport Compact Car magazine, and the December issue has a good writeup on different seats in there, but they don't cover how they fit into each car.

If people could post some pics of their seats in their cars, and let me know how they fit, and how big they are I would greatly appreciate it.

I've got the tenzo r type-r evolution seats. They are very comfortable and not too badly priced. I'm 6'1" and am about 210 and I fit comfortably in the seats and can sit in them for a long time nicely. Here's a pic of them in the car:

I have the same setup with tenzo evolutions and they fit me fine im 5'8 190 lbs. Definitely get the tenzo's, but if you get the brackets with them, be prepared to sit up about 3 inches higher.

Here's a pic of the Tenzo Rally seat in my Eclipse. I'm 5'10" tall, but not even close to 210 lbs, so you'll have to judge how comfortable it would be for you! :P

How do they fit you? And how comfortable are they for you?

Does anyone in the Northeastern Indiana have seats in their car??? If someone does I would like to meet up with you and try sitting in them. I would really appreciate some help with this, I would hate to buy seats and not be able to stand them. It would also be cool to meet some local people with 2g's. I live in Fort Wayne, IN by the way, but I would be willing to drive a little way to try some seats out.

Yeah forgot to mention about sitting up higher. When I first put the seats in my head hit the ceiling. Then I put it on the lowest setting and was about an inch higher than stock. I cut down where the sliders bolt to the brackets and now sit just about at stock height.

First off, let me correct myself by saying I'm 5'11", not 5'10"! Damn, I'm trying to short myself!

The seat was very comfortable for me. The top of the seat is really wide for broader shoulders. The bottom is a bit on the narrow side, but I think that's typical for a racing seat to hold you in place better. And I also had to adjust the seat down a little bit so my head didn't hit the roof.

How hard are they to adjust down? Also the base of the seat has a lip that looks like it comes up pretty high on the front. Does that cause any problems with your legs and the steering wheel?

The seat height must be adjusted before installing the seat. The ends of the sliders have mounts that point down with 3 holes in them. Those are the 3 settings for height adjustment, depending on which hole you use to mount to the bracket.

That cushion in the front of the seat does put you at a slight angle in the seat, but it's a pretty soft cushion so your legs push it down a lot.

I'm 6'1...190 pounds....I will tell you how my seats fit me when i get them ON TUESDAY FINALLY!...

Yeah, that is what I figured. I would definately not have gone the seat route in that situation.
